Sabrina Brounts, DVM, ACVSMR, ACVS, ECVS
We would like to officially welcome Dr. Sabrina Brounts to the Asto CT team as our Scientific and Clinical Advisor.
Sabrina was born in South Africa and at the age of 6 moved to the Netherlands where she started riding horses. At 12, she got her first horse and in time was drawn head-over-heals into the field of veterinary medicine. She went on to graduate with a DVM from the University of Utrecht School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, Sabrina came to the United States to continue her studies. She obtained her Masters Degree at the Purdue University and a PhD at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) in Sports Medicine.
Currently, Sabrina is a Clinical Professor and Chief of the Morrie Waud Large Animal Hospital at the UW. She is not only a respected surgeon, but an expert in equine sports medicine and rehabilitation. Her research focuses these days on equine tendon issues, regenerative medicine, more efficient surgical techniques, and condylar fractures in Thoroughbred horses.
As Clinical and Scientific Advisor, Sabrina will be pivotal in helping Asto CT develop strategies to increase adoption of standing CT in the equine community.
We are honored to have Sabrina as a part of our team of experts. Welcome to the team Sabrina!
